Linoleum block and print
13.5 cm x 15.3 cm (approx.)

Initialed on block, undated.
Probably produced at the printmaking course, 1969-70.
The linoleum block is on the right; what may be the only print made of this is on the left.

Linoleum block and artist’s proof
12.6 cm x 16.6 cm (approx.)
I’m assuming that this is an abandoned version, to be replaced by the following, because the text wouldn’t print correctly.
(The proof is on the left, the block on the right.)

Linoleum block and print
12.9 cm x 16.6 cm (approx.)
The block is on the right, what may be one of only two prints made of this is on the left.

(Right) Untitled (Owl Bookend); Linoleum Block Print; cm x cm; Undated (about 1970), Unsigned

(Right) Death of White Feather; Wood block Print, 1969, one colour
29.0 cm x 29.7 cm (approx.)
Twelve signed prints were made, of which this is number 11.

Probably etching (based on the texture); multiple colours.
36.6 cm x 32.9 cm (approx.); unsigned; undated.

It does not appear than any prints were ever made from this block, and in fact it looks unfinished.
This “grouse” design comes up in a variety of media and seems to have been a favorite.
(Middle) Egyptian Court Dancers; Bas-relief wood panel;
27.8 cm x 40.9 cm (approx.)
(Right) “Voor Han 1972”; Jewelry Box Lid
Bas Relief wood panel stained with natural pigment and oiled
25 cm x 23.5 cm (approx.)
While the left two are probably not finished, the jewelry box lid is, although the box itself was never made.

Soapstone Carving with painted highlights
Undated. (Also untitled, but there is no question what it represents.)

1980s – Wood Block carving with oil-based tinting
The piece is not dated, titled, or signed.
The tentative title offered here derives from a conversation with Carl at the time the work was completed.
The memory may be faulty, but I believe the intent was to represent a shaman of one of the Arctic aboriginal nations
who is inhabiting the spirit of a totemic musk ox.
